Any chance you are going to WNEC?

I am a 87 alum from the bus school. I haven't lived in the Spfld area in 12 years so I can't make any shop recomendations.

Yes, I am attending wnec. so far, I haven't had time to ride but any info you could give me would help. I am still not that familiar w/the city or any surrounding areas to ride.

It's been long enough that I haven't been up there to not remember the street names. But If you just take a left out of the law school parking lot (assuming it hasn't changed) & just ride as far as you want. I don't remember there being a lot of traffic out that way.

I went to the school during the troubles at AIC. In fact the only bad ride for personal safety is to go towards the center of Spfld. But since it is almost all downhill the ride back would be good & tiring.

If you go north out of the main parking area of the school & head towards Wilbraham the roads were in great shape & the ride is nice.

If it's the latter, then you're actually fairly close to some amazing trails (within 20 minutes). I'm next to Amherst, and there's a ton out here.

I can recommend a few local LBS's based on whichever genre you're into....
