I'm not close to our measurements...I'm taller,bigger, etc. It sounds proportional from what I can tell however. I have about 4 inches on you in the appropriate areas, and I ride a 58cm. Mine doesn't seem small at all.

Incidentally, you have 54" thighs??????????????????????? measured how???

50 cm? That does seem a bit small for someone your height.

I'm 1/2 to 1 inch shorter than you with a similar inseam. While both of my current bikes are nominally 52 cm, one of them is a Colnago which translates more closely to 50 cm in other makes because of how they measure the seat tubes. The other bike is a more common 52 cm. The top tube lengths differ by only .4 cm which I think is important. Both bikes feel great because regardless of the actual seat tube lengths, the seat heights, fore and aft adjustments, stem lengths, and bar widths are properly configured for a good fit.

I'm 5'8" with 30.5" inseam and 55" sternum and ride a 52 cm. I'd say 50 cm in a Trek sounds about right (my bike is a Trek also). I don't think you'd have adequate standover on a 52 cm. The top tube length is not that different on the two sizes, anyway and the seat tube angle is the same, I believe. You probably need a longer than stock stem, though.
