View Full Version : ATB bar ends shaped like road drops?

I'm looking for bar ends for a flat ATB handlebar that have a more exotic shape than the normal bar end. It would be nice to have something that simulated more of a road bike drop handlebar.

Does anyone know of such a bar end? Or other solutions? Or other bar end designs that are much more different than the normal options out there?

It seems like those of you that would like to take your mountain bike on road rides every now and then might benefit from something like this, giving you the option of a more aero profile and many more hand positions than a normal bar end/flat bar combination.

Thanks!

That's exactly it!

Only problem is that these cost US$107. Way tooo much.

Anyone find examples in the $20-30 range??? What he posted is exactly what I had in mind.

The Newks are much better made I think, but if you only have 20$... (btw, I have no experience with these, just found them when I was looking for the same thing). They can also be found on Ebay, if you prefer PayPal.

Those are really nice. Thanks for posting that link. Just about exactly what I'm looking for, but still would be interested in seeing anyone else's suggestions to compile into a list.

Thanks all!

MikeI just tried to order on line, they don't seem to offer USPS Ordinary Air mail to Australia, makes it too expensive using couriers. :( But thanks for the link..

I ended up getting a nashbar ergonomic/trekking handlebar as a compromise...seems to be ok; but it is early yet...we'll see how it goes.
