Hi,
I have the opportunity to buy a used Trek 2300 for $500. I comes with aero bars, computer and pedals. Does this sound fair? Can anyone tell me from the photo what year model it is?
Thanks a lot,
-Henry

You can send the photo to TREK and ask them about the year.
If the bicycle fits you and everthing works right, including no creaks/clicks, and wheels that are in decent shape.... it sounds like a fair price to me.

Thanks for the tip. They replied early 90s. A little old, but then again I have a 1994 mountain bike that I love. Quality does not go away with age.

I bought one for $600 about 6 months ago. Check the headset as mine was trashed. I was going to get a carbon fork to improve the ride except the fork I found was attached to an older Merlin frame. Got a great deal on it and the components from the trek went right over to the Merlin. The aluminum fork on the Trek really lets you feel the road so I would suggest a carbon fork and maybe a new headset to smooth things out. Good luck.
