hi everyone like the forums. ive been looking to get into a new sport now that im out of highschool i used to run track and CC i was like a 15:15 3mile 4:20 mile 1:53 800m and like a 50 400m. so im in decent shape. but i decided i wanted to get into biking but dont know much about it. anyone have any recommendations on a good road bike for me. im about 5'9-10 135lb if that helps. i was looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7107831595&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BID_Stores#ebayphotohosting
that what do you guys think id rather not spend more the about 450 or so because i still have to get all the other gear. thanks a lot everyone

if you don't know anything about bikes, go down to your LBS and buy one there.

giant ocr or (cant believe im saying this) an aluminium trek would probably be in that price range. I'm not from the u.s.a so I'm not real sure. Get around as many bike shops as you can, ask intelligent questions. That way you'll probably find the best bikeshop for when you need to buy more stuff. Good luck, sorry that I cant really help.
