Hoboy, I hate to make such a self-serving thread, but I would regret if I let ettiquette cause me to make a bad decision.

It's a 2002 Poprad, basically the bike I've been looking for (I like the paint on the 2004 better), and it's only $550.

But there are no bids.

I'm new to cycling, but as far as I can tell this is a great deal. A 2005 Poprad would cost about $1200, and this is half that and just slightly lame by virtue of not being the latest model, something I don't care $650 about.

So, am I missing something that'd explain why this isn't being bid on? Would it be a mistake to buy it? I have been professionally fitted, and 55cm is my ideal frame size.

I don't know much about this bike, but it seems worthy if this is the bike you've been looking for. The seller seems legit with good feedback and has sold plenty of cycling related stuff. A lot of times on Ebay peole wait until near the end of an auction to place their bids in hopes of keeping the price down by not starting a bidding war. It could also be that no one is intereseted in the particular bike. Personally, I would stay away from Shimano's Sora grouppo, but your not going to find better components in brand new condition for that price.

Make sure that the seller is legit. Ask all questions so that there is no misunderstanding. Good luck! :)

Ask the seller if he can get it professionally packed by a LBS. You don't want this bike just stuffed in a box. Also is it possible to insure the bike in case it gets damaged. Finally ask him for a tracking number, that way you will know where your bike is as it travels.

Looks like a good deal.
