Snakes!
Just thought I'd post a friendly warning, to be on the look out for snakes. I have come accross two in the last week. Almost ran over a tiger snake today. Gave me the fright of my life. Along the Yarra trail next to the Kew billabong.

So if you're riding in their habitat (in Melbourne that's going to be the Yarra trail, the creek trails and some of Capital City trail, mostly): watch out! It's snake season!

On a related note, I suppose we are moving too fast for them to have a chance at striking us, yeah?

Almost rode over a 5 foot brown snake racing last Sunday, and judging by the way it reared, it wasn't too happy about it either - I'm sure our average kph spiked a little there...
