Anyone have a general idea of how often (miles) the bearing grease should usually be replaced, balls cleaned/replaced, etc. on Shimano Ultegra road hubs (6500)?

Anyone have a general idea of how often (miles) the bearing grease should usually be replaced, balls cleaned/replaced, etc. on Shimano Ultegra road hubs (6500)?
Depend on where you ride: rain, dirt, etc. and how much time you are wanting to maintain Vs. riding, etc.
I say at least once a year or every 10,000 miles, whichever comes first.
6500 hubs are very well protected, but if they feel "gritty" or have loosened without the locknuts moving it is time.
