Cycling on Eurosport

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). We also feature an great deals in our online store, 100's of articles, classifieds and product reviews.

OK so I'm UK based and want to know what cycling Eurosport will be covering
in 2005- not much to go on on their website or newsletter- do any Eurosport
subscribers know what they are advertising for 2005 coverage?

Other than that, is there any way round paying £20 per month to Sky for the
privilege of receiving Eurosport?

Racing starts at 14:30 on Saturday afternoon so it'll be Fridays and
Saturday morning qualifiers. Is there anothe show on Sunday for Sundays
sessions ?

Sky don't really advertise the fact, but you can buy the kit from them
without a subscription. It's a solution for people who can't get
Freeview where they live. Be sure that the Sky digibox is tunable to
the German channel though - it has a limited range of Symbol Rates to
restrict what you can watch that isn't Murdoch-approved.

According to the Tour de Langkawi wesite The Tour will be on Eurosport
every day during the race 28th-Jan 6th Feb.

Channel 4 usually show it a couple of months later at around 2am over
several nights.

A couple of hotels along Cenang Beach had some slight damage.
According to my friends everything is cleared now.

You need a minidish and Sky Digibox, plus the coax and SCART cables.
Aldi +Lidl sometimes sell them, or you can get them on ebay readily
enough.

Then you need to fix the dish to a south facing wall and download this
program:

You then input your data into the program which will show you the
azimuth (compass bearing) and dish elevation. The dish will have a
graduation on it so you can set the elevation on the scale.

Since you are using the ASTRA 19.2 E sat carrying continental
programmes rather than the UK 28.2 E sat, you need to input 19.2E into
the SMW program.

Once you have got the dish pointing roughly at the 19.2 E bird, you now
need to connect it to the TV. Once you have, use the Sky handset shown
here:

select "services" and then "system check" followed by "signal check" .
There should be a signal strength bar on the screen. Adjust the dish's
compass bearing to get the strongest signal.

Then you can tune the channels in.

Go to:

http://www.lyngsat.com/astra19.html

This will show you all the stations on that satellite.

German Eurosport is on 11954 H 27500 - 3/4.

To tune this in go to your handset, select "services" followed by
"other services". Enter the frequency 11954, the polarity H, the Symbol
Rate 27500 and the FEC 3/4. Select "find stations" and Eurosport will
come up on the menu. Follow the on screen instructions to select the
station and then store it.

To watch the channel select "services" then "other services" and
select Eurosport.
