Doctors recommend a diet by somone who can't even spell "losing" correctly
in their URL?
Scary. Really scary.

Yeah, Ditto that.
Guess you better check your own dictionary you might be surprised to find
out it can be spelled either way. losing and loosing. So I guess that makes
"you" the "moron".

How does this qualify as spam?? This is a news group about dieting isn't
it?? Oh that's right only people who talk about anything but dieting are
allowed here. Sorry my mistake how dare I post something about dieting in a
dieting news group.

Well, both words *exist* so you're onto something there, but they have
different meanings. You *lose* weight and then your pants become *loose*.
I take it you're a non-native speaker of English? Don't feel too bad about
it, most of us here would do worse in French.
Also, while this is a diet newsgroup, my understanding is that commercial
posts, such as yours, are not permitted under the group's charter.

When I originally went for losingpounds.com it was taken so I came up with
the 2 o's as meaning looooosing as a prolonged way to say it. Also as
someone who really wants to lose weight. Loose does mean something that is
not snug. However when spelt loosing it has the same meaning as losing.
(check against the Canadian / American dictionaries)You are not the first
person to tell me that my spelling is bad. However I wish people would open
their dictionaries before commenting. My wife is a legal assistant and is
the one who helped me come up with this version. I trust her spelling over
most people.

In regards to this being a comercial posting. I don't see how someone
meaning me who is 80 pounds over weight who has found a diet that has done
wonders for myself and has decided to become an independant distributor of
the product causes so much commotion when the posting that is 2 below mine
talks about getting laid and nice jugs is OK. This confuses me greatly. Not
sure what that has to do with dieting??

Unfortunately, it's "most people" you've constructed your website for.

No, it doesn't. It is an obscure usage that means to set free, as in
loosing a horse from its bridle.

Let me clear it up for you. It's really quite simple.
Advertising and sales pitches are not allowed by the rules of this

needs to find someone with better overall spelling skills.
