Yorks cycle ride - Wetherby to Filey
View Full Version : Yorks cycle ride - Wetherby to Filey
Has anyone got a route or know where I can get one on line?
There was one on the Wetherby Lions website but despite much Googling can't find it.
Vaguely remember it goes North first then towards the coast, but don't know the detail.

stick it in the net and we'll discuss all your options afterwards."

Sorry, missed it entirely. I didn't think my message had posted at all.

Thanks.

No problem, the traditional route is:-
Wetherby Race course Walton Cattal Whixley Gt Ouseburn (refreshments) Youlton Alne Easingwold Crayke
Stillington (refreshments) Sherrif Hutton Terrington (lunch) Coneysthorpe Malton Norton Settrington
Bank West Lutton (refreshments) Weaverthorpe Wold Newton (refreshments) Hunmanby Muston Filey
Settrington Bank may or may not be included, it wasn't last year as the road was closed, due I think
to erosion damage, which may or may not have been repaired by now.
Website is <http://www.gybr.org.uk> (http://www.gybr.org.uk/)
Are planning on doing the ride this year then?

Yes application is in.
I know loads of people do it unofficially though.

Having ridden it before, the only difference between 'official' entries and others is the grub at
lunch time, and your donation to charity.
The number of people who get bikes brought back to Wetherby is only a fraction of entrants
If the entries are full, do the ride and give the money to a local charity, or the Dave rayner Fund!
