Replacement Tiagra Brake Lever?

View Full Version : Replacement Tiagra Brake Lever?

Is it possible to replace the lever without replacing the whole assembly? If so, where could I find something like that? Everywhere I look on the web it seems the parts that you can buy start at the 105s and go upward. I just need to replace a Tiagra. How much will this cost me?

Thanks,
Scott

go to your lbs, they should be able to order one for you. Im not sure on the cost but those STI levers are kind of expensive.

So then if one of mine got scraped up, it's probably not worth replacing if it still functions? Hey, I'm a noob and this is my first scraped up part. How did you guys deal with that?

i scratched my 105's up and knocked the top piece that said 105's on it. i was mad and wanted to replace them at first but was like it adds character to the bike and gives a story to tell.

my tiagra levers are all scratched up too, was hard to ignore for a while but I got used to it. hey if we could afford to replace all our parts every time we scratched or scuffed them we wouldnt be riding tiagra.

I did the exact same thing few weeks/montha back, to replace it it costs about £11-12 to replace both

Is that the cost for the caps with the lettering, or can you get the actual silver part of the lever as well? I'd do that I think - just wanted to see if I could get those pieces without removing the entire assembly.

Keep your eyes open for a 'parts' bike. They might still have scuffs on them, but it can sometimes be the easiest way to upgrade to Ultegra or Dura-Ace. People don't expect to sell the bike for the cost of the parts.
