Klein V or Specialized Allez Comp Triple
View Full Version : Klein V or Specialized Allez Comp Triple
Ive been in the market for a new bike for a while and i was the the store today and was introduced to the Klein V, full 105 components with a sick klein frame, but im torn between that and a Specialized Allez Comp 27. the biggest problem of mine, same price but which one to get. The Specialized is pretty much full ultegra, but the klein frame is arguably one of the best and most upgradable, so im asking anyones opinion- should i get the bike with the better frame, or the better components? ill take consider pretty much whatever you throw at me- thanks for the input
why do you need granny ring?
Husband has Klein Aura V. Beautiful Bike. Also like the Handbuilt in the USA!!
I dont want the granny gear, but the comp double runs a price of around 2200, as opposed to the 1800 i was lookin to spend, i might also wanna add that at the lbs today we weighed a 56 cm klein and 54 cm allez comp trip... the 56cm klein is a lb less than the 54 specialized
its really just a question of wether i should get the great frame or the better components- keep telling me what you all think
In my opinion its always best to go for the best frame you can afford as its the heart of the bike and the bit that makes most difference, then enjoy upgrading bits and pieces at liesure.
Klein for me. I'm a bit biased because I've had a Klein for the past 8 years and its still amazing.
I'd go with the Klein, but that's only because I recently got a Klein rêve V myself, and I love it. :D I have no experienced with Specialized bikes. In general though, it does seem to make more sense to go with a better frame and slightly lesser components than the other way around.
Klein
You KNOW you want it.
