Lands end to John O Groats Dilemma!

Help!!!!

I'm planning a sponsored ride lands end to john o groats on a road bike with a couple of friends, but... there is disagreement over which way to go, based on 1-where is the best place to have an end of journey party and 2-the wind direction in summer - my mate rekons South to North is the way to go.. I don't really care myself but would like to stop a really boring argument!

Does anybody know which way the wind is gonna be blowing in july august? When I say it like that it sounds really stupid.. but do ya?

Convention says you go up from South to North as that way the wind is most likely to be helpful. The CTC does have an info pack on routes, but you have to be a member to get it. Enjoy whichever way you go.
