After a bit of consideration I finally decided to buy a road bike. I'd tried & tested a few and
finally decided on a Peugeot Pulse 500, it was within my budget, road well and seemed to have a good
set of components and a good frame.

There are only a few problems. I've had to go out and buy a complete set of clothes (shoes, shorts &
jersey) & new computer mount.. I thought I was going to have to but new shoes, but didn't think
about shorts etc. I have know spent way over my budget ! I personally have no problem with the
amount of money I've spent. I not sure if my wife will see it the same way
!

If I can explain to her how great it is to travel at such speed after being used to riding MB she
might understand. Maybe not !

Regards,

Andrew B

Thanks to Helen for recommending Specialised Cycles, nice bloke & great service.

One can never spend too much money on bikes, have too many bikes, bike bits or bike accessories
(apart from b*bs - they are a no-no). Any reasonable human being, wife and mother can
understand this.

Cheers, helen s (wife, mother, cyclist and paving slab fairy)

With the obvious extension that "bikes" actually includes cycles with different wheel
configurations too! ;-)

Intercept the credit card statement before she gets to it, and hide it somewhere safe! ;-)

this sounds rather like the problem I had the other day trying to pursued my other half to let me
had a flightdeck computer at £40!!! Mark "Andrew B" <ntl.newsgroupsNOSPAM@ntlworld.com> wrote in
