Wholesome family day out
View Full Version : Wholesome family day out
Had a gentle twiddle round Selby on a organised ride with my wife & some friends today.
Only 25 miles & billiard table flat. But the sun shone & it was nice to see so many people out
enjoying themselves.

Did about 30 myself, except that there was wave after wave of dark clouds and rain coming off the
Humber I was cycling next to and Selby is only 30 miles away, so you must have been lucky.
BTW is the Selby Brewery still on the go and is that specialist beer shop still open down the main
drag? Gowthorpe?

I had about 4 drops of rain. We started at ten so we'd finished before the showers came. It was
however hissing it down with rain after I left the football.

Nice. I had a gruelling ride from Morley, West Yorkshire to Holme Moss. Killing headwind, hills too
steep. Fantastic tail wind in the way home though. (47 miles)
