I have a single speed bike with a rear hub capable of taking gears - and would like to put some on.
Im a total novice with bike mechanics, so please make any answers as simple as possible!
Can I simply get a set of cogs for the back wheel, put a deraileur on the back and attach that to gears? I think the old fasioned type of gears - non indexed - would offer the greatest degree of error on my part. What do you think?
Thanks.

I would just like to add that I have a Veto frame by Fort, Shimano Deore caliper brakes and handlebars that look like bull horns (?). My rear wheel has a quando hub, if that helps...
