Thought maybe you guys could help me out on this one. I'm looking to buy a new helmet after purchasing a cheapo (Giro $25 helmet) about 6 months ago when I was just getting started. Now that I'm moving along in my training and getting really into the sport I'm noticing that there's absolutely no airflow through my helmet, so I think it's time for a new one.

So my question is, Limar or Giro? I figure I may as well buy top end because Internet deals are so great. I haven't had the opportunity to try a Limar because shops in my area don't carry them. The Atmos was nice (and no, not because Lance wears it :p ). So what are your experiences and opinions?

Was thinking Giro Atmos or Limar F111, any other options I should look at? Thanks guys, really appreciate the input. And in case it's important, my rides generally range between 2 and 4 hours in the humid midwest.

If you haven't already, try them both on to see how well they fit. I went through the same thing looking for my current helmet--Giro vs Limar, and the Giro just fit my melon better, so thats what I ended up with.

Yeah, be careful. You have to try helmets to make sure the fit is right. No use getting an expensive lid which doesn't fit right!

I am looking at the Atmos. I currently have a less expensive Giro. Are the sizes consistent as you move up in quality. i would assume so but do not want to buy over the internet unless I am sure?
