Hi
I have a pair of well worn Sidi Techno MTB cycling shoes. The soles are separating from the rest of the shoe despite my having tried gluing it repeatedly. I have only tried using araldite epoxy glue but this is probably not the correct thing to use. Does anyone know what I could use to keep the soles on. Also, does Sidi have replaceable soles as they do with some of their other parts like the retention system.
I have a couple of Shimano cycling shoes but I would like to salvage these if possible as their my favourite pair.

I am in the same predicament that you are in- I have a pair of Sidi Techno Fire MTB - bought in 1997.... and the back part of the heal has been seperating for the last few years... Probably has occured since I did ride them in the rain, etc. ......... and water has a great ability of getting into fine/tight areas :D

I was going to use a shoe glue on them .... or even liquid nails....... I just have not tried anything yet.

Hope someone can chime in with good advise :)

Bring them to a cobbler and see what he says. Look for a old world cobbler if you can - they're the best.

I agree that a shoe shop would be best. But also you can try a polyurethane glue liek Gorilla Glue or Shoe Goo. You need something pretty tough to keep those together.
