Demise of Omega ?
View Full Version : Demise of Omega ?
Does anyone in S.E. London/N.W. Kent know what happened to "Omega custom-built frames" at Swanley,
now replaced by (yet another) mountain-bike shop ? I went past the shop on many occasions, and
always promised myself that one day, when I was rich enough, I'd buy one of their frames, but now
the shop has disappeared and I now wonder if yet another lightweight specialist has ceased trading.
I only went into the shop on one occasion, when my seat- pillar bolt had sheared, and the chap in
there (almost certainly the owner) not only found my a compatible Campag unit but refused to accept
any money. Great service, and certainly worth recording for posterity.
