They are running a story called "Cars vs Bikes", looked from the teaser
to be somewhat balanced, there was the token cracker carrying on like a
complete tosser about the evils of cyclists, countered by interviews and
footage of high milage cyclists.

You never know what you'll get, the Seven piece last week looked like it would be anti bike from the ads, but ended up passably reasonable (Melbourne). That said there was still a road rage incedent on Sunday that was likely related to the bile stirred up. Not to mention the looneys that were allowed to comment by the age (previously the remanent of passable journalism in melbourne).
Must be the time of year for the cycling stories, I thought the network used different calendars for there repeat articles, apparently they are using the same ones.

Isn't ACA a national program so it always the same across the nation? I
think it is the Today Tonight which has local stories and seperate
presenters for each capital.

It is, but I think they put on edited introductions so that they can follow
on directly from the local news with a "Thanks X & Y" and make the less
clued up people think they're getting a local programme.

Dunno, all I know is that CH9 was on this am before I left and they
showed a preview of a motorist/cyclist type story to be shown this
evening.

Except for the flippant remark at the segments conclusion, I'd say that was a fair effort by ACA. They actually put a reporter *on a bike*, and behind the wheel to get a reasonable perspective. And of course, Jenny Ward. Ask any Sydney Masser about *her*. Suppose they needed to interview the token nutjob.
