Of course let him back in.
Just my opinion, but I don't think this thread is going to acheive anything.

I have named three things he has done that would have gotten himbanned on any message board out there but you, and others still can't figure it out. Go to google and you can find all the "knowledge" Flyer had. He was someone who wanted attention and knew that by googling a few articles, repeating them over and over and going on the attack when people asked questions that would prove whether he had any real knowledge, some would fall hook, line and sinker for it. He's over move on.And you did your best to provoke him... I seem to remember that you were the one to call him out (too many Jonh Wayne films maybe?), he answered you, you weren't happy with the answer and kept calling him out and being sarcastic and downright rude. You did your best to piss him off and you succeeded and although I don't like what (you allege that) he did you weren't exactly the epitome of good manners... You aren't the victim here. You were as much obsessive with Flyer as Flyer with doping...
Anyway the guy may have been obsessive with doping but I would take Flyer's point of view over any of you that think that a TDF can be won by eating muesli and rubbing bodyparts with pink tape from Japan...

To make up those stories about doping in anything and everything cycling, he is one funny guy! :)

you should have included a "he!! no!!!" option. i couldn't hardly take coming to read anything in the grand tours forum because of his constant off-topic rants. in fact, i just came back today and literally thought, "ahhhh.....flyer must be in hiatus or something because every effing thread isn't peppered with his nonsensical bs!"

so no....don't let him back. this is a community. if you can't get along with other members and contribute to the positive feel of a place...leave!

Certainly some of what you say is true. But I had a number of experiences with Flyer where he would make ridiculous claims and when you asked him to put up the evidence, he'd either ignore you or start calling you all kinds of rude and childish names. He'd openly call anyone who didn't agree with him, "a liar", and them insinuate, or outright accuse, you of posting things you had never posted. When asked to provide a quote to support his accusations, he'd ignore it. Perhaps you agree with Flyer on the doping situation in the peloton but that doesn't excuse his behavior, his accusatory manner or his complete inability to recognize the difference between suspicion and proof.

He asked for what he got for months on end. And now he finally got it. The moderators were more lenient in his case than any other individual situation I've seen from this, or any other message board. In my opinion, they finally decided that the problem was unwilling to fix itself so they did what they, as moderators, had to do. I don't miss him.

I don't miss him.My post was not about whether I miss Flyer or not, nor whether I think his ban was just or unjust. I just don't think that is fair to accuse someone that can't reply of something that you are (not you Beastt) as guilty of as he is. Regarding your argument with Flyer my view is that you were never on the same page (I pretty much followed it from the beginning) and you should have agreed early on that you disagree and let it go.

I concur with you concerning the agreement to disagree. If I remember correctly, I tried that. I think even he tried that. But when I would respond to a post from other than Flyer, he was right back in my face. I even put him on ignore, (the only one who has ever made it to my ignore list on any of the forums on which I post), and it wasn't enough to stop his attacks.

I also agree that it's not really fair to accuse anyone of something when they aren't around to defend themselves. Unlike some, I apply that to celebrities like Lance as much as to non-celebrities. That seemed to be what upset Flyer the most -- that I attempted to suggest that if he didn't have proof, he shouldn't be telling everyone that Lance is/was doping. I noted your "not you Beastt", but for the record, I made every reasonable attempt to allow him to present evidence of things he accused me of and he declined to present anything. I think it's pretty clear that he knew his accusations were unfounded. But he didn't let that prevent him from continuing to make false and accusatory statements.

If you're out there Googling this, Flyer, you know what I'm saying about the accusations is true.

Why should FLYER be banned? Just because he is interested in somethings that you guys are not interested in?

hmmm...this is your first post and you're arguing that flyer shouldn't have banned?

If Flyer was banned 'cos he was being directly rude to people, then there are some others we could loose as well.

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!

Flyer was posting on another Forum under the guise of H202.

He was issued with warnings about his postings and now this:

H202 - your re-posting of the same material in the same topic and also posting it in other topics is tedious (the AIS information) and I seem to have lost my patience somewhere - if you see it, please message me.

Anyway, you have been set to moderated mode for awhile. Which means you submit a post and it is queued for the moderator (me). Then when I get around to reading it, I decide if it will make it onto the board - I can allow it to be posted, I can delete it, or I can just let it sit there.

When submitting posts, please keep in mind that we do not have a department of redundancy department here.

It is an effective ban as our Flyer cannot conform. We have seen no posts since. Flyer will next pop up on unmoderated RBR.

Although it was my first post here, as a matter of fact, I am a regular reader of this forum for quite a while and flyer is not new to me. Maybe I was missing something leading to his ban, otherwise I don't generally agree to ban a person in an open forum.

I might not agree with everything Flyer may say, but he should be unbanned as he makes contribution to the forum too.

I have mostly watched from the sidelines, so take this FWIW.

The mods of cyclingforums in general don't seem to like his message.......he's also banned at dailypelotons doping forum.....

But she (the mod of dailypeloton) doesn't want bad things said about cycling.......the whole LA thing isn't being covered there........IF all media are covering it how come they don't..........

Even when he posts he can't say everything; he stays within the legal boundaries.......he always says he knows waaaaaaay more, but he would get sued if he tells everything (or in his case banned!!!)

Even in PM's he's always very cryptic....and when you ask some questions he says I can't reveal more......

But youre right would have liked him on the board during this.........I'm sure he knows more.......

He just has to learn to argue his case in a little less insultive manner (not that i'm affected by it), don't take over all threads, don't personally insult (not that i'm affected). But I didn't think he did much wrong, and his approach was refreshing, if aggressive which I liked. I learned a bit more from him.

If people were really insulted by him, then they should really liven up, this is just a cycling forum and we're just discussing cycling, it's not the most important thing (although we like to think it is).

BTW where do you PM him? Do you know who banned him and for what reason?
