What Is The Difference Between A Single Speed And A Ten Speed Chain?

I want to replace my chain, while shopping I came across a chain listed as a single speed chain. It looks the same as any other chain I have ever seen, is there a difference? If there is, what is it?

the width of the chains is much different...single speed chains are
1/8th in and some are 3/32... depends on what type of single speed your talking about this is still alot wider then 9 and 10 speed stuff.
