anyone riding fuji touring bike?
View Full Version : anyone riding fuji touring bike?
my daughter and i will be doing about 6 weeks in europe in a year or two, and starting shorter tours soon, so it's time to get a touring bike for her. since she's still growing and may outgrow whatever i get, i'm going with an entry/mid level bike. looking around on-line, the fuji touring bike compares favorably with the trek 520, cannondale touring models, and bianchi volpe as far as the geometry and components i'm looking for.
i was just wondering if anyone out there has been riding the fuji, and could let me know how they like it (or don't).
thanks

I bought one at the beginning of the summer. I used it on a 200 mile trip in July. I like the bike.

I bought one for my son a month or so ago ( last easr model ). He loves it. Now he actually wants to go for a ride. The Fuji seems to be good value for money, although like most bikes the gearing is on the high side for touring.

My guess is that you are right about the gearing. However, my touring is with little gear on the bike because we are accompanied by support vehicles. The gearing was very good for this type of light touring.
