trek 7100
Hi Folks,I am new to this forum and need a little bit advice.I made a trip to my LBS for a bike and they suggested a trek 7100 for me.I have heard a lot of good things about the 7100 and the bike was pretty comfortable to me when i rode.I read in another forum that the tires and other parts of the bike are not heavy enough over time for putting a lot of miles.Should i get the 7100 or go for one a little better.I want to stay within that style of bike, but i want a bike that will hold up over time without problems.Any kind of suggestion and recommendation would be helpful.

If the bike fits you well, you like it, and you get a fair price, go for it. Tires and other components can be replaced/upgraded as they wear out with better ones.
