2006 Specialized Tarmac Comp for Crits

Hey,

I am considering purchasing a 2006 Specialzied Tramac Comp. I wanted to know the ride quality of the frame/bike and any pro's and con's about it. I also wanted to know if this would make a suitable crit bike. I was told by someone that using a carbon fiber frames in crits is a big no no becasue the fragility of the frames and the likelyhood of crashing. How strong are these frames to crashes, and would it be a go bet to ride in a crit? Also, how does Specialized warrant carbon fiber frames. Thanks for the help.

I'd like to know how they ride compared to the Roubaix? Might be able to snag a Tarmac Pro 05 for under 3K. I need a better ride for century's.
