Good deal on Giant TCR Comp 3

Hey everyone, I'm just getting into road cycling and I was at my LBS and they have a medium (my size) TCR Comp 3 for 1199($500 off MSRP) due to the new 06's they are getting. I've been riding my mtb on the road for the past month or so and have been looking into getting an entry level bike ($600 or so), but then I saw the deal on this and now I'm thinking about putting it on layaway and making payments for the next couple of months. I know it's more than I need right now but at that price, I could get it and never worry about upgrading for a very long time. What do you all think of this idea?

Do you have a performance store in your area? They have a no Interest for a year deal going right now with all of their Giant's on sale. What componets does the 3 have?

Also, another reason I'm thinking of buying is the lifetime warranty on the frame.

Well since you have made a large jump in the amount you are wanting to spend already the 3 is a decent choice for the money. You could push it a bit more and go with the 2 and get Ultegra and move from a 9 to a 10 speed. Have you considered an OCR? Frame is a bit more relaxed and a little cheaper. It would be nice to have the 10 speed and better components for the extra 300 or 400? Either way Giant makes a nice bike and you should be happy with it.
