Helping Iraqi Cycling
What's happening with the Iraqi Olympic cycling team? Perhaps Cannondale can supply them? Or maybe
Trek or Specialized.
I suspect that there are racers in the country. I recall that when I flew into Casablanca in 1988, I
saw racing cyclists on the road training as we made our final landing approach. And if there are
racing cyclists in Afghanistan..........

Of course, some would say that we are invading Columbia. Now we know the real reason.

Um, OK, but what does Casablanca have to do with Iraq?

I agree - we should send our military to liberate all countries where cyclists are persecuted.
Unfortunately our military would not agree with you and I. They are extended enough as it is.

Maybe they could use some help from 42-year-old quadriplegics.

Another Muslim country with active cyclists, just like Afghanistan. Must be some cyclists in Iraq.

They are trying to organize a new classic from Basra to Baghdad. The way the roads are right now it
will be as epic as 1919 Paris - Roubaix.
No muslim country will ever produce a decent cyclist until they learn not to blow up.
Good road,
Herb

I guess you don't consider Dicky Virenque a decent cyclist.
P.S. Doesn't Dubya live in 'Casablanca'?

How about New South Wales (in Australia) where the bureacrats are oppressing road cyclists. Time for
a regime change ?

I think that they have already been overturned.
