2006 LIVESTRONG Ride Series

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). We also feature an great deals in our online store, 100's of articles, classifieds and product reviews.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation is hosting a series of five cycling rides around the USA to raise funds and awareness for cancer survivorship. Each rider commits to raising a minimum of $500.

I'm doing the Austin Livestrong Ride this year, with an outside hope of raising enough funds to do the Ride For The Roses again. I rode the Ride For The Roses last year and it was a great experience.

I set up a blog and forum myself to track my progress, training, and fundraising for this year over at LAFRider.com (http://www.lafrider.com). Im hoping it can help others doing this series as well as get some help from people for myself.

I imagine ill be going back and forth between my site and forums like this one to gather as many tips and advice as i can so I can do even better this year.
