Do you think that his gaunt appearance is due to advanced cancer? Is he hiding this?

No.
I have seen several posts on this, can anyone explain to me how he looks different than in previous
years???? I see no difference in his appearance - MAYBE his face is a bit thinner - his posted stats
look the same.
Could it be that his years of cycling a lot more than his competition has created the body and
look you see?
Maybe he is just getting a little older? A lot of people start to look different as they age. I know
my dad looks a lot different now in his 60's than he did in his wedding photos. For that matter I
look different than I did 10 years ago.
Greg Lemond looked different in 1986 than he did in 1991. Of course he went the other direction. No
one suspected him of cancer - or of obesity.
Maybe everyone is grasping at straws...

Yes, it is. And, as with most patients with advanced cancer, the doctors have prescribed riding a
bike about 100 miles a day at 30+ mph for three weeks or so. Standard treatment.
