the beef
I spent a good part of this afternoon practicing my trackstand. All this time I was putting a fair amount of weight on my handlebars. Well what's happened now is that turning the handlebars results in a creaking/low clicking noise. Pressing down on the handlebars also produces a creaking/clicking noise; it doesn't take too much force for this to happen. And I CANT find out where this noise is coming from! I've got a threaded headset w/ a quill stem.
I've tried loosening the headset a bit, and then tightening it up again. I've tried tightening the stem. I've tried tightening the place where the stem clamps onto the handlebars. I've tightened the quick release. I took the quill stem out, stared at it for a second having no idea what to do, and then put it back in. It looked pretty well greased.
What's the matter with my bike?
