Clothing for 4-day Ride
View Full Version : Clothing for 4-day Ride
I'll be doing a 4-day charity ride this summer with each day being 100km +. It's a fully supported event, but I don't know if they have laundry services available. Assuming they don't have laundry facilities, and if I only own 1 or 2 bib shorts, is there a way to clean them myself after the day so I can wear the following day?
I did a 5-day ride recently and we had no vehicle support, averaging 80-100ks a day
Depending on time in the saddle i opted for a change of shorts half way through the days ride, and then washed them in the shower, however having 3 pairs of shorts a started with the dry pair and hung the drying pairs over the pannier’s, It worked ok .We didn’t pick up any rash or saddle sores.

That makes sense. Just use some soap or body wash while showering and give them a wash, rinse and dry. I should have time to dry them between rides, but I'll probably bring 2 anyway. Cheers.

Bring two pairs, and do as you suggest (wash in the shower). They should hang dry by morning. Have the second pair as back-up in case they aren't dry, don't get clean enough, or suffer some mishap such as getting torn in a fall.
