Book on Racing Technique
View Full Version : Book on Racing Technique
Are there books out there on the specifics of racing technique? Different strategies, etc.

He might have a website as well.
Steve Thordarson is the name (I might be a little off on the spelling of the last name).
You can also find him at www.bicyclecoach.com . It is a listing of coaches in the US. Steve is in
Illinois (you can look up by state). "Lester Long" <long5@ix.netcom.com> wrote in message

Obviously not new, but I still think "Bicycle Road Racing" by Eddie Borysewicz (Velo News,
1985) is a pretty good all-around guide. Don't know if it's still in print, but I have a
copy I could give you.

I've heard that Bike Racing 101 is good. It's probably cheapest at Amazon.com:

A good book, Eddie B trained Lemond and Hamsten who were quite good on bikes as I recall.

Thanks Steve; as you know it's for my wife. I'd really appreciate it if we could borrow it
for a spell.
Regards, Lester
Thanks Sam.....I was looking more for a book than a coach. But the website is interesting!
