What is a quack?
View Full Version : What is a quack?
I was suffering from high blood pressure for some months and none of
the seven (7) doctors I went to see managed to take care of me. These
doctors were trained in presitous schools such as Stanford. Some of
them are in fancy hospitals like the HK Adventist Hospital while
others operate their own private clinics and charge dearly.
I recently ran into someone, a peasant looking doctor, who charged
only US$1 per visit here in ShenZhen of China and he is taking good
care of me. Simply by arranging the medicine regimen, he has done a
super-job and helped me immensely. I was at the same time suffering
from tinnitus too. The explanations of the cause of my tinnitus given
by these 7 fancy doctors vary from high blood pressure to living on
sky scrappers...or just 'psychological'.
On the other hand, my peasant doctor who charges only US$1 per visit
told me that my tinnitus is due to a 'weakened' kidney, which might
have been caused by having too much sex without at the same time
having the kidney nourished well. I subscribe to his explanation as
everytime after having sex, my tinnitus comes. So I am going to
abstain from sex for at least a month or more and at the same time do
something about my kidney. A can of dark gennise stout is a good way
to start! And this is universally available. No light beer, as light
beer represents too much yin(showdowy, weak) energy at the time when
the kidney is weak. If you could do without alcohol but have other
ways to enrich your kidney, it might even be better.
As someone whose specialty is in financial cycles, I do believe there
are cycles in our individual lives. My experience suggests that when
we are in an up cycle, even 'quacks' could take care of our health
problems but the moment when we get into a downtrend in our life, even
Harvard professors fail to do the job.
So, what is a quack? A quack is someone who fails to take care of
your health problem. Empiricism rules! The test of a pudding is in
the eating!

Let me suggest that you seek out a one dollar psychiatrist -
particularly for that post coital tinnitus -- that is unless it is the
intensity of your screams that triggers the racket in your ears.

You know, I think Chung mentioned seeing the same thing at the iMAX
Institute of Dietology.
Glad you are on you way to solving your problems.

I hope so. The doctors that were trained in western medical science
either don't subscribe to this explanation or have no opinion of that.
But I do discover there is a cause and effect relationship for *my*
tinnitus. The western doctors told me that high blood pressure is the
cause of my tinnitus. But the herbs that are meant to enrich my
kidney do raise my blood pressure a bit higher than normal and stop
the tinnitus as long as the herbs effects are on. So who is right?

So are you suggesting that you have found the cause and effect
relationship of my tinnitus, with whatever 'limited' knowledge we as
humans have of 'science'?

Francis,
This is a cardiology group. You are unlikely to have your questions
answered here. As Jim Chinnis mentioned, try alt.support.tinnitus
instead.
Good luck... it is a maddening illness.

No. I am suggesting that you are a nutter, offering us very flimsy
"testimonial" evidence.

And thus by your logic, you are also a nutter, having not asked for
further verification of evidence. No?

Maddening initially (but not life threatening). But, things work out ok,
after some time.
