Good day everyone,
Can anyone enlighten me on moon shaped saddles.? I've heard this is better for older riders? Thanks a lot.

If you are referring to hornless saddles I can speak to that...

My wife purchased a hornless saddle and did not care for it. While it did relieve pressure on soft tissue it caused her to use her arms for support. This would cause her arms to be extremely sore/tired after just 30 minutes or so on the bike.

At the end of the day the sore arms were just too much so we got her a wider traditional saddle (Specialized BG Milano 175mm) which fit her "sit bones" better and relieved the problems she was having.

All depends on your rear-end configuration... some people love them, some hate them.

Some of the other shapes/models you might want to try include:

1. SMP Strike... http://www.sellesmp.com/it/evolution.htm (model line-up)
2. Sanmarco Arami Gelaround (1st pic)
3. Fizik Arione (2nd pic)
4. Sanmarco Rever (3rd pic)
5. Selle Italia SLC (4th pic)
