Are TREK Bikes good value for money?They are getting better (now that the competition is getting a little more air time - the post Lance years in the U.S.) but IMHO you can still get a better bike for the same money in a few places (C'Dale, Cervelo to name a couple).

yes. Carbon is great and it makes a difference if your a serious racer.

Testing will always lag just far enough behind to question results, but not overturn results with an infallible stamp of authority. Meanwhile, professional cycling suffers.

As long as he wants! in terms of classics racing anyway. Valverde would be his biggest rival but he'l be busy with the grand tours over the next few years. Boonen is by far the best rider in terms of the tour of flanders and paris-Roubaix.
