Hei,

Is performance on a ~15 minutes TT more a function of FT or VO2max? My numbers are like: Power at VO2max 320-330 W, power at FTP ~270 W, and power at 10 km TT 300 W. So which training would benefit more, VO2max or the threshold power? Or as the TT course is on a rolling terrain, with three short climbs with total climbing of ~50 meters, would the 15 sec – 30 sec power range benefit even more, as now my power/weight is far below the “recreational level” cyclist , otherwise I’d be somewhere in the Cat4 level in the power profile chart with my 75 kg.

Both. Work all of the zones from low Z4 to high Z5.

FWIW, I do a 15km TT at 104% FT (22m00s). Maybe your FT is calculated low? (I am NOT a TT specialist though).
