Lance: Tour tough for reasons people don't know.

Lance said this years "tour has been tough for reasons people and know and some reasons people don't
know. it has been a tough year." I wonder if he is refering to his seperation and now restored
marriage with his wife who mind you wrote a beautiful USAToday article about him yesterday? I always
wondered how that would effect his performance...

You want to try and show me a marrage that doesnt have trouble at times, let alone one where one
of the partners have to travel so much... add to that the pressure of having to win the TdF year
after year.

The more I think about this, the more I suspect he's referring to death threats directed at him.
They probably don't want him going into specifics. If it were related to his marriage, he wouldn't
mention it at all.

Certainly. In Lance's case, his personality went from the humble "I almost died" type to the brash
multiple TdF winner type. He was not the nicest person to be around these past few years. He seemed
genuinely different at this year's tour, from the get go. Creeping age and an almost failed marriage
have humbled him again. This is the better Lance for Kristin.
