Fitting luggage rack & lights to Brompton

I've got a Mk 2 Brompton L5, and from time to time I think about upgrading it to T5 spec by adding a
rear rack and bottle dynamo lights.

Anyone done this - are there any hidden pitfalls to fitting the rack, or do I just buy one and apply
a bit of common sense?

Can the Brompton rear rack be used with "normal" panniers, or would I need some shorter ones?

What about lights? Is the standard dynamo any good for urban commuting (I'd probably fit a
standlight at the rear), or should I just stick with a standard cateye battery setup?

So many questions - so little time.....

No AFAIK the rack can't be used with normal panniers - well they'd have to be pretty small :-)
Really the rear rack is designed for things to be carried on top of it. I used to have a plastic
box at one time that I bunjeed on top to carry stuff, and I have a small old rucksack that I
sometimes strap on top to carry stuff. but it's use is limited - and of course you have to take it
off to fold it up.

Do you use the front luggage carrying system? That is truly useful and you can carry good
loads on there.

Dynamo is fine for commuting IMO, it works just as well as any other bottle dynamo system.

Before expecting to be spoon fed do ponder on whether others have all the time in the world to
