View Full Version : Felt F85 - any good?

Hello

Thinking about getting a reasonable road bike for some cross-training, and maybe a little bit of
commuting (but mainly just for tearing around on). Don't want to spend an absolute fortune, but I'd
like something relatively decent. I was having a browse through Evans' website, and their shop just
off Oxford St and noticed they were doing a Felt F85 for £399, reduced from £600.

Looks like the right sort of bike in the right sort of price range, cheaper than the basic Trek or
Specialized equivalents. Only thing is, I've never heard of Felt. Apparently Mr. Felt is something
of a legend in frame-building circles for triathletes (or something), but other than that I'm damned
if I can find anything about them on the web?

Any clues for a 2-wheel[sans engine] numpty, or alternative suggestions in the £500 ballpark?

Cheers,

Cycling plus from a few months ago really liked this at around the 500 UKP mark, and they were
comparing it against much more expensive bikes:

I have to say that I've never ridden this or the Felt, so I couldn't give a personal opinion on
these bikes.
