Bar-Ends with Bar End Shifters?

I have an old Schwinn Crosspoint bike (1992 vintage) with Bar End Shifters. Does anyone make Bar-Ends that will attach via a plug in the bar end rather than clamping over the bars? I'm thinking something that attaches via an expander plug.

The shifters extend all the way flush with the ends of the bars, so the clamp over Bar-Ends would clamp over the shifters, which isn't going to work.

I can find Bar End Shifters from Shimano & Campagnolo, but not the Bar Ends themselves. To be clear, I'm looking for those "horns" one attaches to flat bars to get alternative hand placement. And ones with expander plugs rather than clamps.

Or Bar Ends like these: http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=5756&category=48Actually, those would be good examples of clamp-on items that I cannot use.

The Bar-ends would need to attach via a plug inserted in the open handlebar hole, and tightened in place by turning a screw to expand the plug.
