gear during crits

i'll do my first criterium next weekend and i do not know if i should wear normal bib shorts or a skinsuit. what do you prefer and why?

j.Well, at this morning's crit, I don't remember seeing any skinsuits in the Masters, 4/5, or cat3 events, but I can't see why it would make the slightest difference, assuming you like wearing a skinsuit. (I did see a couple of National Championship jerseys as they rode away from the rest of us in the Master's race, but that's another story entirely...) I guess there's always the "which is cheaper to replace if I crash" scenario, but then I never ride expecting to crash.

Because of the weather? WTF? I wear what the sponsor kicks down to the team. Wish they would get us some skinsuits, but for the time being it's just the regular 2 piece kit.

This was 15 years ago mind you, but we wore one piece suits for everything, but training. Cooler, more confortable (#1 reason) and if there was any aero advantage-fine!!


But comfort was the number one reason. We also got full zipper suits as well. That helped even more on hot days.
