That's an honest day's work :)
Compare that to last year's Grafton to Inverell, rated as one of the hardest ever
228km in 7:19:56  into a block headwind. Won by Greg Henderson (NZ). I wonder if he'll be back this year...

Hendy's copped a bit of stick for not chasing a ProTour spot, but the US contract lets him ride track and do a spell at home each year as well. The rainbow jersey on the track is testament to that working for him.

Too right. Like Stu in the GAN days.
Pro Tour is all consuming.

Ok guys, given I know stuff all about pro-tour racing, a question related to the FLandis thing .....
If/when his B sample comes back positive, they strip him of his TdF win - fine, BUT do they then go back and recalculate stage wins/time bonuses/points etc?

I dunno if this has been posted. This thread moves too fast.
Landis's T/E test was a ratio of 11to1. What was the limit again? 4to1? haha http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2006/aug06/aug01news2

Hell loose his stage win on the day he tested positive, and probably points too, but as I understand it the time bonuses are unaffected.

Melb-Yarrawonga too....another marathon day in the saddle. My old man should have won or at least got second in the Yarrawonga one year - 87 or 88, can't remember the exact year. Less than 20 blokes left, fastest sprinter there by a mile, form of his life, picking his nose, tipped off 20km out and broke his collarbone.:(
Bulldog immediately attacked and won on his own.

We now await with bated breath the results of the B sample analysis.

Yep, some poor bugger near the front of the bunch clipped a wheel and went down at the first corner on Sunday 2km into the ride and broke his wrist. It was a bit exciting for the 400 or so following riders getting round him as well.
The hard luck story of the day was the dude who broke away from the bunch only to get held up by a train about 8km from the finish. The bunch caught him and then didn't give him a gap when the crossing reopened. If it had been a race with commisaires he would have been OK.

I can do it in one hyphenated word:
hyper-inflation.

It is, it is. He won a few Pro opens anyway, track and road, so he can't really complain.:)

I can do it in one hyphenated word:
hyper-inflation.Surely that was an economic problem rather than a political one? Although granted, political decisions often produce unexpected economic effects.
