Well fellas, I'm pretty pissed. I mean, I'm used to getting kicked off websites simply because the people running it are $%@#@s, but I expected a bit more from Bikeforums!
It's nothing short of outright discrimination, and to then have Koffee reinstate the thread in 'Foo' and then tell us all what bad boys we are is fucking insulting.
Perhaps I should start a thread up called 'The African American Thread' and see if they nuke that?

I am just as pissed, but i think we can say more by staying away than by lowering ourselves a level. I think an email (nice, factual, agreed upon by all of the original TAT'ers) to joe and/or the advertisers would be better than an attack on the forum SWMBO.

Thylo, hubby and I both thought your post in the poll thread was excellent and well-expressed.
I'm going to PM the forum owner and ask to have my membership deleted, I really do not feel like supporting them anymore. In fact, I am rather insulted by the manner in which they have chosen to re-instate the thread.

First, I feel so helpless on this site, without my Moderator tools... :D
Now, I don't even know where to start with this whole thing. I'm a bit miffed that you guys left after I went to bat for you, but I also understand the predicament we're all in. I started a thread in the Mod forums, under the title of "Where's the missing thread?"
Opening post was as follows:
You know, the one where we discussed shutting down The Aussie Thread? Because I must have missed that. Yet there it is on my screen, a mod threatening them over the use of the word "Seppo". Total bullshit, that's what I think. How many complaints have we gotten? Anyone? Anyone? Yeah, that's what I thought. Outside of the thread where some Aussies and the Lone Scot picked on American riders, I don't recall any other complaints.
If some dickhead complained that the boys are referring to Americans as seppos, too damn bad. They're complaining because they don't know what the hell the word means. It's hardly an insult, and it's certainly not worth getting your knickers in a knot over. But someone's got a bee in their bonnet over it anyway. So someone please explain to me how they can justify closing The Aussie Thread. It's not like it's known for being about just cycling either. That's been an accepted fact for a long time now.

gasp, back onto the topic of Bikes: PSHAW, manly dam is closed :
Manly Dam bike circuit is closed until further notice.
This is due to serious erosion as a result of continuous wet weather.
We encourage people to call us at the Park Office on (02) 9949 3235 or 0409 773 097 if they need to enquire any further.
This is a temporary closure and we will re-open the track as conditions improve.
Rangers will patrol to enforce this closure.
Please assist by informing other bike riders of this closure.
Please inform any club members or customers that may enquire about the track.

does everyone have rain bikes? i think i need a rain bike as spinning on my trainer is starting to do my head in!!!Um, I have a snow bike. :) My BMX cruiser with a set of Max Daddy's and fenders.
