there was a guy on the Tuesday night group ride in Credit Agricole stuff wearing the 'Jana Pittman' long, tight, black socks!!
not a good look :)
sure they weren't leg warmers that had fallen down?......I often take the bike to work & get changed & train immediately afterward. I've lost track of the times I've forgotten to bring me some 'cycling' socks & had to wear me working socks....thankfully its usually dark & the 'fashion police' haven't given me any grief :D

I know cycling is a wanker sport, and anyone who shaves and moisterises their legs can hardly criticize anyone else, BUT, I just CAN NOT get past shiny, white leg warmers, and white booties :p TOSSERSSSSSSSSSS!!

Let's see, I'm a plumber in Darlinghurst. There's always a cut or some skin off my hands somewhere. If you're clearing blocked drains, murphy's law says when it splashes it's always gonna getcha in the.... alright moving right along, they need to be refreshed every ten years.
My tetanus jab is way overdue too. Not looking forward to that one. Last time I had one of those I literally couldn't change gears in the car to get home. Arm was useless. They really hurt.

We were on a club training ride up to Upper Yarra Res earlier this year, stopped at a cafe (about 20 of us) and this bloke rolls up, shiny white leg warmers, shoes, shoe covers, nix, jersey, arm warmers and helmet... all brand new looking gear... we all looked at each other... it was dead silent as he walked past, apart from someone in our group commenting "fark, I just hope he can ride" then as soon as he went into the cafe, we absolutely pissed ourselves laughing.
His 2 mates were still outside the shop with us and gave us a "yep, we know he's a tosser" look.
edit> Nice one Commo

Just popped over to The Other Place™ and was wondering about some of the terminology.
Clydesdale - I always thought that was for someone that was just plain big... like 6'2"+ heavy-set.
At The Other Place™, it seems that every boombah calls themselves Clydesdales
Is it a term for big people (not necessarily overweight) or boombahs?

Let's see .... at TOP, Clydesdale = over 200lb (roughly 90kg) a quick look at a BMI chart indicates 200lb gives a BMI of 25 (borderline overweight) for someone who is 6'3" (roughly 1.87m).
So if you isn't over 6'3", and you weigh 200 lb, you is a boombah (unless you is loaded with muscle)
