Oh look! My avatar from 2 years ago is still there! Awwww.Of course Thylo was only using the term 'Seppo' as an insult to Septic Tank manufacturers. The complained to the mods about being compared to Americans.:p
Thats really unfair - it was only one 'merican

What exactly did I miss here? I mean, Kotter whent in a bit to hard with the Seppo bashing, but why would you delete an entire thread - the most sucessful thread in the history of threads mind you - just because Kotter when on a rant and we don't all think Landis is 'The Second Coming'?????
I'm dumbfounded.
I'm also dumbfounded to see an avatar I haven't used since 2004!
Did you youse some DNA profiling to rebirth your extinct avatar?
Is the turkey slapper, or chriss going to win BB?a question for anyone interested?

snow bike = MTB
rain bike = crappy commuter / non-race bike, I certainly have one, it's never washed and is covered in dirt and grease.
come to think of it.. so is my race bike

shit that sucks!!! yeah see thats what im wanting avoid...i figure if i buy a rain bike now and offload $500 or whatever then i can piss fart around in the rain to my hearts content and not risk my 'so called' good bike (although even thats only a giant...http://cyclingforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif).Somehow, I don't know how, I only cracked the ultegra plate on the shifter. Not even another scratch, unless you count my knee

It's a good idea to have one bike for training/rain and one for racing on two counts: if anything happens to one of them you always have a backup whilst repair/replacement takes its sweet time to happen, and you don't have the hassle of having to strip all the weight off the bike on race day.

i have to go over railtracks every day if i head down out of the hills...they certainly are a bitch!!! i cant decide whether its better to go over them slowly or like a madman possessed lol!! generally i prefer the latter option and hope for the best - its worked ok so far...sorry to hear about the knee and cracked plate...would be nice if bike components 'healed' over time like the body does lolThe problem with these ones is they cross the road at about 55 degrees. Add water, and you can guess the rest.

It was the only humane thing to do :D
It took me over 12 months before I could let go of the empty shell that was my old bike. I still miss it, but it was costing me a fortune to keep it on the road. Now I have 3 new bikes that cost me 3 fortunes to keep maintained :(

ohhhh a terrigal boy...its bloddy nice up that way...dont they have a great pub up there in terrigal? ive even heard about it and im in melb...did you frequent it after the bunnies had their second win for the year?
2 great pubs now... and not to mention a great beach 300 mtrs from my front door.
When the bunnies won I was probably drowned in pooey nappies or pretending to be a Wiggle on Safari in my backyard somewhere. :)

yes, very nasty. When I first started riding I nearly came a cropper in SF on a wet tram track, did a nice front wheel slide until my tyre (MTB knobby) gripped the raised edge of the road and I escaped injury.
Worst crash a few years later in NJ in winter on a FG, black ice, down hard, very sore arse !!! And no, that's not code for the happenings of a private meeting in a public toilet near Saccy's Bathurst MTB track.

Most boring round of football this year.
Farken Hird is the best player I've ever seen though IMO. Watched some of the game - damn he is good. Better than Carey, better than Ablett (too inconsistant), better than Buckley (I'm a pies supporter), better than Voss.

The knee might be the only vissible injury, but thats just because the bruising hasn't come out on the shoulder or ass yet. Feels like a dead arm, only it wont go away!
