Hi,

I've just got back from an Alpine crossing on my offroad bike.

Just before the trip, I damaged my front rim and all the bike shops where shut so I went and picked up an old Shimano exage rim from a bike on the local scrap yard. All the gear held up well despite bad weather and three crossings on footpaths over 2000m...

... except the Polar computer. The performance of the device was somewhat intermittent and seemed to crash out just when I needed it. I'm assuming that the sensors where correctly fitted because it worked some of the time.

I rely a lot on cadence, heart and speed to pace myself over the less technical passes. The speed or cadance seemed to fail exactly when it was most needed.

Anyone have the same problem? Know of a fix?
