How Many Bikes Do You Have
View Full Version : How Many Bikes Do You Have
Amazed at how many people have been updating and viewing the how many bikes do you have. So I thought let's have a poll so we can see the stats...
Your poll is too limited in selections, and I have 13 bikes. 6 bmx, 2 mtn, 5 road bikes
Come on guys, only 13 votes so far... I was hoping for a much better response. Granted I should have had more than 4 options, I didn't realize there was away around the default of 4.
Two De Rosas for now, but probably adding a Bianchi or Cinelli city-bike for work commutes in the next couple of weeks. :D:cool:
At last count I was at 110 in the collection. (I'm actually down a few this year.) Balloon tire, BMX, vintage mountain, English lightweights, Sting-Rays, a few older Schwinn road bikes, three tandems, a three wheeled PPV, some custom stuff... How do I get myself into these things?
Do I get to count the bikes I could build from all the spare parts?

Not really, just very creative with the way I store them. (Along with the fact that I left 50 of them hanging in my parents' basement when I moved out many years ago.) ;)

3 Pinarello's. One primary ride (full record, eurus wheels), a winter/spare (alum frame, mix and match Centaur/Chorus/Record) and a 15 year old model that stays permanently mounted to the trainer.
I've got three (seems rather low reading the other posts).
All fairly 'old' school, but I've never needed to replace them (other than about three frames on the training bike following RTA's.
Ex Race Machine (don't race anymore) is a custom built Frank Herety in Columbus SLX with custom paint. Dura-Ace 7400 series eight speed complete groupset, with a range of wheels, currently using Hed Jet with Hope Titanium hubs. Absolute mint condition.
Training bike is a Ribble 653 with Ultegra Group, using Mavic 501 hubs - parts vary from 20 years old (cranks / brake calipers) to new.
Mountain Bike - Rigid Dimond Back (no suspension he he) with Deore LX- only used when out with the family.

You have a cycling meseum ,right?:D
One good road bike and one one crap road bike
3 My everyday ride is an old Bridgestone RB1. Also have a Trek 5200 and my beater is a Diamondback w/midsize tires and bullhorn bars for town and trails. I ought to clean the Diamondback again this year. It's pretty funky.

I'm going to need something like that Daimond Back too. My kids are now learning how to ride and the road bike with clipless pedals is not ideal for lots of starts and stops at 5 mph. Plus their bikes are bmx types and I know they're going to want to start hitting all the dirt trails in the State Forest at the end of my street.
At one point I had seven, but have now sold off my older bikes with 27 inch tyres and stem levers. I'm considering getting rid of my tri bike as well, but I'll be buying a cheap diamondback in a week or so.
You forgot to put an option for zero:p coz i had one and just got involved in a heavy crash, well i have it no more:mad: absolutely wrecked. Well I'm on the market again so i can get onto your poll for one bike...maybe that chap who has 110 could find his spare bike and lend it to me,hehe;)
10 in full working order and several additional frames and dozens of wheel sets.
Bikes include:
A Nishiki "funny bike" with small front wheel (perfect condition), a Raleigh Pro track bike from 1974 with full Campy; a Fuji "Newest" from 1973, an early 80s Olmo with Olympic pantagraph components, A Schwinn Paramount (1970s) with chrome lugs, a Festina S-Works Specialized with full dura-ace, two Litespeed Ultimates (one painted in Ferrari red), a Bob Jackson custom-built in 1973 for time trials and a Specialized mountain bike.
