40 PSI MTB slicks?????
So there I was, flippin' through the nashbar mag, looking for slicks for my wifes mountain bike, and I saw the Panaracer Hi road V, on sale for 15 each, reading 40 to 80 psi. I recieve them, and they read 40 PSI max. MAX!!!???? Anyone riding around on 40 PSI slicks? How slow is it? I'm thinking about throwing them on anyways just to see.

40 PSI MTB slicks?????
I have a pair of Maxxis Overdrives 1.75 on one MTB which sees occasional use on the road on weekends. These only have a rating of 50psi...and they are slow. On the plus side they are more comfortable than the Geax Roadrunner 1.25s (100psi) I've got on my commuter (a converted MTB with rigid fork and flat bar). These go fast, grip well and are lasting a reasonable length of time. I have also tried a pair of Serfas (can't remember which ones though) which also inflate to 100psi and these seem to be good as well. Maybe keep the Panaracers for those short trips.

Nope, I'm going to return them. I'm a speed demon on the streets, I run 25mm 'Dillos on my every day commuter(touring bike) at 125 psi, 40 psi aint going to cut it for me, or my wife. Good thing Nashbar is good about returned items.

Good thing Nashbar is good about returned items.I am an occasional Nashbar buyer myself, as are many other users on this website. What I have noticed is that the paper Nashbar magazine is not as accurate as the online descriptions for the same item. You found this out the hard way. The Nashbar paper mag usually does not have detailed descriptive information of the pictured items; when it does have descriptions, they are occasionally innacurate, as you found out the hard way.
As any cyclists who are into their sport enough to upgrade their own bike compenents, the mag is cool to look at; but I would always order online. Still, this is definitely their fault. Notice how the link you provided us clearly states "40 psi" and not the "40-80 psi" the paper ad did.
