Hydraulic shifting for 1500 Euro

So, would any of you choose to changeover to hydraulic shifting, assuming that the price comes down once we are through with the super-rich early adopters?

So, would any of you choose to changeover to hydraulic shifting, assuming that the price comes down once we are through with the super-rich early adopters? If anybody can tell me what the point of this would be, I'd think about it. Alright, maybe for some mudhoppers' MTB, but at least for a road bike, I just don't see what hydraulic shifters could buy us.
